Ground School Text Books & Resources
Below is a list of all of the text books and resources I used to complete my PPL(H) rating. For your convenience, I've included online .pdf files, browseable web pages, and links to purchase them on Amazon. For transparency sake, the Amazon links are affiliate links that directly support me if you buy using the link provided. I'm not asking you to purchase anything from Amazon, but if you choose to do so I want you to know that I will receive a kickback.
Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) 2026
- The federal aviation regulations are title 14 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations. The parts you will use most as a helicopter student pilot are Part 61 (certification), Part 91 (operating rules), and the SFAR 73 (Robinson R22/R44 specific requirements). Below are links to the electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR) and an Amazon link to purchase the ASA FAR/AIM combination textbook.
